Pura 70, 70 Pro, and 70 Ultra are Released by Huawei into Foreign Countries

With the covert release of its Pura 70 series smartphones in foreign markets, Huawei began a new era for its flagship range. The Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, and Pura 70 Ultra are part of the series, which has new camera systems, updated looks, and a new name, of course.

One notable omission from the range is the Pura 70 Pro+, which will only be available in China.

The new Kirin 9010 chipset, produced by SMIC using a 7nm process, is a feature of all three Pura 70 versions. Although Huawei has not yet disclosed any information about the chipset’s capabilities, it is anticipated to provide better AI features and CPU performance.

China already has the Pura 70 series available, and people are familiar with their specs sheets. Their most notable feature is still the back camera system, which is contained within a unique triangle island.

The Huawei Pura 70 has three cameras: a 13 MP ultra-wide camera, a 12 MP periscope telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom, and a 50 MP primary camera with a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/4.0.

While keeping the 50 MP primary camera, the Pura 70 Pro adds a 48 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The 12.5 MP sensor on the ultra-wide camera is another feature.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, the flagship model in the collection, features a retractable lens and a 1″ sensor. The pop-up mechanism keeps the device’s thin profile intact while maximizing light capture for the sensor. With a variable aperture that goes from f/1.6 to f/4.0, it performs incredibly well in low light.

The telephoto camera still has an optical zoom of 3.5 times, but it now has a 50 MP sensor with an f/2.1 aperture with infinite autofocus. With 40 MP, the ultra-wide camera is impressive.

Because Huawei feels that owners of the Pura series smartphones don’t need extra cameras and sensors for facial recognition, all three devices have a single 13 MP selfie camera.

Although Huawei shipped EMUI 14.2 with the worldwide edition of the Pura 70 series, the Chinese version was released with Harmony OS 4.2. The gadgets have a number of clever features, such as generative AI-powered AI Gesture Control.

Interestingly, these smartphones’ foreign versions will not enable Beidou Satellite Calling and Messaging, a function that is only available in China.

For €999, you can get the Huawei Pura 70 in White or Black, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. For €1,199, you can have the same color and storage options with the Pura 70 Pro.

The Pura 70 Ultra comes in three colors—Green, Black, and Brown—each with a faux leather back. At €1,499, it has 256 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM.

In several European nations, pre-orders for all three variants are currently open, and regular sales are set to start on May 22.
