Users of WhatsApp Say that the Doodle Does Not Turn Off

You’re not the only one who is struggling to get rid of the doodle that appears on your WhatsApp wallpaper.

Many users of the instant messaging service have complained about the difficulty they are having getting the doodle off of their background wallpapers on Reddit and X, the website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Reddit users who first noticed the issue on January 24 claim that it has persisted for a few days now.

Only when a solid color is selected as the backdrop wallpaper will the doodle appear. Whether a motion wallpaper put on WhatsApp or an image from the photo library is used is not displayed.

How to get rid of the doodle on WhatsApp

Reddit users have recommended using an image from the photo gallery or going into each chat and turning off the doodle in order to erase it.

One individual advised downloading “your photographs with the hue you choose [from the internet] and setting this image as your background: Select a new wallpaper by going to Settings > Chats > Chat Wallpaper > Photos.
