The Dog Stars: Ridley Scott’s Jacob Elordi Sci-Fi Film Release Date Set

The Dog Stars the newest post-apocalyptic sci-fi film from 20th Century Studios and directed by Ridley Scott, has finally been given a release date by Disney. It will draw inspiration from Peter Heller’s 2012 best-selling book of the same name.

The Dog Stars Synopsis

The original novel’s synopsis reads, Hig’s wife is gone, his friends are dead, and he lives in the hangar of a small abandoned airport with his dog, Jasper, and a mercurial, gun-toting misanthrope named Bangley. But when a random transmission beams through the radio of his 1956 Cessna, the voice ignites a hope deep inside him that a better life exists outside their tightly controlled perimeter. Risking everything, he flies past his point of no return and follows its static-broken trail, only to find something that is both better and worse than anything he could ever hope for.

The Dog Stars: Cast and Plot

Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, who has been chosen to play the lead role of a civilian pilot named Hig, will head the ensemble cast. Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Guy Pearce (The Brutalist), Josh Brolin (Dune), and Margaret Qualley (Substance) join him.

Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson wrote the screenplay, which Scott is directing. Heller, Lily Brooks-Dalton, and Brandon Scott Smith are executive producers, while Mark L. Smith, Cliff Roberts, Michael Pruss, and Scott are producers. Scott Free and 20th Century Studios are the producers.
