Land Rover Defender Octa: Starting With Rs. 2.65 Crore, Bookings To Open Soon

Land Rover has formally announced the Defender Octa in advance of its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which is set to take place in West Sussex, England, from July 11 to July 14. Powered by a 4.4L twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine delivering 626 hp and up to 750 Nm, the Octa is endorsed as the toughest, most competent, and most luxurious Defender model. This makes it the most powerful Defender model ever.

As a result, the Defender Octa can reach 100 kmph from zero in just four seconds. With a slew of improvements, including a completely redesigned chassis with technology like 6D Dynamics suspension with pitch and roll control, the Defender 110’s dynamic capabilities are raised to new levels, the brand claims.

The 4×4 has a more aggressive and robust exterior design. It has a wider stance, rides higher than typical, and has expanded wheel arches to make a big impression. Along with strong underbody protection and revised bumpers to improve approach and departure angles, it also has improved underbody protection, enabling drivers to easily navigate difficult terrain.

Additionally, with a depth tolerance of up to one meter, it can navigate through seas deeper than any prior Defender model. Its diamond-like characteristics are reflected in the new distinctive logo. The Defender’s first-ever all-new Octa mode prioritizes off-road performance and unlocks all off-road features, including specialist ABS and launch control.

Improved performance seats with Body and Soul Seat technology are available on the Land Rover Defender Octa, which is intended to improve the driving experience for front-seat passengers. These seats come in a range of colors and are made from brand-new, incredibly sturdy materials. For its first year of production, the custom Defender Octa Edition One features a tailored specification that includes unique new paint options and meticulous chopped carbon fiber details.

The new Defender Octa reservations will open soon. In India, the base Defender Octa will cost roughly Rs. 2.65 crore (ex-showroom). In the meantime, the limited-edition New Defender Octa Edition One will retail for about Rs. 2.85 crore (ex-showroom) in the local currency during the first year of manufacture.
