Kia Sorento Hybrid 2025: New Design, More Price

As anticipated, the Kia Sorento Hybrid makes its debut with a new face for the 2025 model year. A year earlier, the three-row midsizer with gas-only powertrain debuted squarely new styling and a loot box of equipment. Again, amber daytime running lights and “Star Map” illumination frame the front corners here. The rear taillights also receive the ultra-thin star treatment. Part of the automaker’s current futuristic aesthetic is conveyed by the addition of new 19-inch wheels. Welcome to the exterior color scheme: Volcanic Sand, Mineral Blue, Interstellar Grey, and Cityscape Green.

There’s a new Dust Blue color option accessible inside. The 12.3-inch infotainment screen and the carryover instrument cluster with incorporated 4.3-inch TFT screen are features of the base hybrid EX. With two 12.3-inch curved panorama displays, quicker Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, more extensive over-the-air updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Digital Key 2.0, the SX Prestige takes a step higher in technology. With a standard suede headliner and ventilated front seats, the top specification enhances the cabin atmosphere and has a significant price rise over the previous year.

Highway Driving Assist 2 with automated lane changes and Smart Cruise Control-Machine Learning (SCC-ML), which adapts to a driver’s driving style, are new additions to the options list.

Following the $1,375 destination charge, the 2025 MSRPs are as follows, with modifications from the 2024 launch pricing:

  • EX: $1,700 ($40,065).
  • $48,265 ($4,100) for SX Prestige

Kia kept the price of the 2024 Sorento Hybrid the same. The base trim’s MSRP increase of $2,500 to $2,500 is consistent with what happened to the non-hybrid Sorento.

A 1.5-kW battery and a 59-horsepower electric motor support the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that powers both trim levels. With a six-speed transmission, the standard EX’s combined output of 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque is sent to the front axle.

The SX Prestige only comes with AWD, but the EX can be upgraded to AWD for $1,800.
