Important Information: Tata Altroz Racer to Launch in India in Early June

The sportier Altroz hatchback, the Tata Altroz Racer, will go on sale in India at the beginning of June. The Tata Altroz XZ iTurbo, which is priced between Rs 9.20 lakh and Rs 10.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India), will be positioned below the Altroz Racer when it arrives. The Altroz Racer, on display at the Bharat Mobility Expo this year, measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,755 mm in width, 1,523 mm in height, and has a 2,501 mm wheelbase, placing it in the same class as the Hyundai i20 N Line and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo. In contrast, the Fronx Turbo and the i20 N Line have lengths of 3,995 mm and widths of 1,765 mm and 1,775 mm, respectively. The i20 N Line has the longest wheelbase (2,580mm), however the Fronx is the tallest of the three.

In terms of design, the production-spec The Bharat Mobility Expo paint scheme, which contrasts bright orange with black, is something that the Tata Altroz Racer should adopt. White racing stripes will be applied to the roof and hood in addition to this paint job. We also anticipate the Altroz Racer to have 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, pillars, and outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) that are completely blacked out to further emphasize the car’s aggressive design.

There will be a redesigned rear spoiler and exclusive ‘Racer’ badging on the Altroz Racer for added exclusivity. The remaining alternatives are still unknown, with the exception of the orange and red colors seen on the automobiles during the 2023 Auto Expo and the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, respectively.

Inside of Tata Altroz Racer

The Tata Altroz Racer’s interior is probably going to have headrest badging and all-black leatherette upholstery with red contrast stitching. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, voice-activated sunroof, heads-up display, aluminum pedals, ventillated front seats, rear AC vents, and a wireless charger are said to be among the features. Six airbags, ESC (electronic stability control), and a 360-degree surround camera are expected to be standard features in terms of safety.

Vehicle: Tata Altroz Racer: Engine

The hatchback’s performance variant, the Altroz Racer, will be powered by the same 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that powers the Tata Nexon. The latter’s engine produces 170 Nm of peak torque between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm and 118 horsepower at 5,500 rpm. Tata might only provide a 6-speed manual transmission for the Altroz Racer.
