Gboard Added New Voice Typing Mode for Android Phones

Gboard has been updated to give Android users an alternative method of typing using voice commands. Voice typing can now be done independently on Pixel phones and a number of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, allowing users to engage with their keyboard in new ways.
Previously, users could make small text adjustments while dictating by tapping the microphone icon on Gboard and speaking while the keyboard was still visible. With the new approach, voice typing is moved within the UI.
Features of the New Voice Typing
Until now, the Gboard’s microphone icon allowed voice typing while the keyboard stayed on the screen for real-time editing. But the most recent modification modifies this. A new toolbar has been made available to Pixel users, giving them extra screen real estate for voice typing.
The toolbar is minimized and takes the shape of a pill at the bottom of the screen when voice typing is enabled. Additionally, the toolbar’s left side has a hamburger menu that displays dictation tools. A feature called “Show voice commands” is part of this.
This function shows the voice commands that the user can speak. Saying “Send” for instance broadcasts the message, but saying “Stop” turns off the microphone. The voice command “Undo” accomplishes exactly what its name implies, while “Delete” eliminates the final word or the highlighted word, “Clear” eliminates the final sentence, and “Clear All” eliminates all of the text. In order to include emoji definitions in the text, users can also speak out.
Finally, they can go up and down the entries with the voice commands “next” and “previous.”
Additionally, it has features like Show translate, Show emoji, and Show clipboard. Through the same hamburger menu, Gboard also offers the option to switch to a toolbar that is positioned vertically, which could free up additional workspace by altering its orientation. With a dedicated option, users may also decide to restore the full-sized keyboard.
