“The iconic Las Vegas and Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport, is the perfect marriage of speed and glamor,” Maffey said. “Our belief in this unique opportunity is evident from our decision to take a promotional role for the Las Vegas Grand Prix in partnership with Live Nation.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with our local partners to create a marquee event. The potential of Formula 1 has been well demonstrated over the last several seasons, and the Las Vegas GP will only take it to the next level.

Domenicali added: “This is an incredible moment for Formula 1, which marks the huge attraction and growth of our game, including the third race in the US. Las Vegas is a world-famous place for excitement, hospitality, adventure and of course the famous strip.

“There is no better place to race for Formula 1 than the world’s entertainment capital, and we can’t wait to get here next year. I would like to thank all those who helped make this event possible, especially Governor Sisolak, the Clark County Commission, Steve Hill of LVCVA, and our local partners. “

Hill added: “We look forward to the moment when the history, energy, and momentum of Formula 1 ends on an unforgettable Saturday night on the Las Vegas Strip. The spectators will experience the incomparable thrill of watching the race of these world-class drivers, which will definitely become the most prestigious racetrack in the world.

“Formula 1 and Liberty Media are invaluable partners, and we look forward to November 2023, when we will once again see Las Vegas as ‘the greatest arena on earth.'”
