Entry-Level MX Model Makes the Seven-Seater Mahindra XUV700 more Affordable

Adding a seven-seat model to the base MX variation of the XUV700, Mahindra is expanding the vehicle’s appeal. By 3 lakh, the XUV700 MX 7-seater offers a more affordable choice than its AX3 7-seater sister, with a price tag of 15 lakh ex-showroom for the diesel engine.

The XUV700 MX 5-seater model’s mechanical and feature specs are carried over into this new three-row variation. While maintaining parity in specification, the MX 7-seater is priced ₹40,000 more than the XUV700 MX 5-seater with the 2.2-liter diesel engine. It has an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto, four speakers, a 7-inch MID, tilt-adjustable steering, multiple USB outlets, analogue dials, adjustable headrests for every passenger, powered ORVMs, follow-me-home headlamps, and ISOFIX anchors.

Like earlier seven-seat variants, the new model includes extra features like second-row center armrests, third-row AC vents, and a 60:40 one-touch tumble function. The same five color options as the MX version are available for the MX 7-seater: Everest white, Midnight black, Dazzling red, Red wrath, and Napoli black.

The Mahindra XUV700 MX 7-seater shares mechanical similarities with its 5-seater sibling, albeit with a 156 horsepower engine. 2.2-liter diesel engine with a manual 6-speed gearbox attached. It’s possible that the 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine option offered in the 5-seater grade will also be available in the 7-seater.

The Blaze edition of the XUV700 was just introduced by Mahindra for 24.24 lakh ex-showroom. Only front-wheel drive and seven-seater versions will be offered for the Blaze Edition, with choices for petrol AT, diesel AT, and MT engines.

With the launch of the XUV700 MX 7-seater, Mahindra has improved the market’s options for luxury and reasonably priced SUVs. This action expands consumer options in line with the recent release of the higher-spec XUV700 Blaze.
