Apple’s Self Repair Program Toolkit – Handle what’s inside

Apple’s 79-pound iPhone self-repair program toolkit is on our test bench. Here’s what’s in the big repair package.

Apple’s self-service repair portal has just launched, and at the moment, it’s just focused on repairing the iPhone. In the future, device options could potentially expand.

Now you can make many common repairs, such as broken displays and depleted batteries for the iPhone 12 line, iPhone 13 line and iPhone SE.

In our case, we have ordered a battery replacement for our iPhone 13 Pro. With the battery itself, we had to borrow Apple’s toolkit for दुरु 49 to repair it ourselves.

Of course, it also came with a $ 1,272 hold on our credit card.

The toolkit took two days to arrive and contained two large pelican-branded cases. Collectively, they weigh about 80 pounds.

After taking them into the studio, we broke the security seal on the outside to explore their contents.

Case number one
When we opened the first case – the shortest of the two – we were greeted by our return label. Apple has introduced two new zip tie-style security tags for the return journey.

In this case, the display has a heater used to remove the stickiness. There is a power cable and hot pocket tray required to join the heated display removal fixture.

The hot pocket tray clamps your phone to the metal side and then slides the smartphone into the display removal device. To weaken this viscosity, your iPhone will cleverly heat up to a certain temperature for a certain period of time.

Huge repair package.

A suction cup holds the display and as soon as you turn the knob upwards, it will slowly apply pressure and pull the display panel freely. Once separated, you can use the included tool to break off any remaining adhesive.

Case number two
The second case has a lot of elements inside, it’s bigger than two. All of our tools have their own return labels and security tags next to them.
