Dr. Ahmed Haque, Grigory Pelman Discuss Peace and Social Cohesion at International Peace Summit
PEACE SUMMIT, May 27 – A peace summit bringing together civil society representatives, policymakers and social reform advocates focused on dialogue and cooperation to strengthen social cohesion amid global challenges.
Indian peace activist Ahmed Haque met Russian public figure Grigory Pelman during the event in a brief exchange on peacebuilding and cross-cultural understanding. Pelman co-initiated the Memorial Society, which received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022. He also serves as Director of International Projects at Dor Moriah, an Israeli analytical and research organisation focused on sociopolitical and cultural studies.
Ahmed Haque works on initiatives related to communal harmony, interfaith dialogue and youth engagement, with engagement across regions including the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the United States.
The summit highlighted dialogue as a tool for fostering mutual understanding across diverse societies.
