Where to Stream the ‘Laguna Beach’ Reunion Special Online Free
The cast of the iconic MTV reality series “Laguna Beach” is returning to the beginning with an all-new reunion special debuting this week on The Roku Channel.
Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, and Kristin Cavallari are among the original cast members who return for “The Reunion: Laguna Beach,” which begins on April 10. Viewers may watch the two-hour Roku Original special on their Roku device or Roku TV, as well as online via The Roku Channel website.
“The Reunion: Laguna Beach” reunites the original ensemble of the landmark reality series to celebrate its 20th anniversary. In addition to Conrad, Colletti, and Cavallari, viewers will see and hear from Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Schuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser, who will reflect on the “nostalgia, friendships, and coastal backdrop that continues to captivate audiences to this day.”
Roku’s press release announces “untold behind-the-scenes stories, cast reactions to episodes of the original series and a present-day return to where it all started – Laguna Beach.”
Conrad told a group of journalists and fans at a screening event last month that she was first “hesitant” to revisit her high school days until she featured on Colletti and Cavallari’s “Back to the Beach” rewatch podcast. “It was a really positive experience and it sort of started the conversation [about a reunion],” she stated, adding that “enough time has passed for us to have a good perspective.”
“We had everyone on the podcast, but the one thing that was missing was getting everybody together,” Cavallari said, downplaying long-standing rivalry rumors between her and Conrad. “I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Lauren at this stage in life,” she replied. “We’re moms and business women and we have so much in common. We have a lot more in common than I thought.”
The reunion special was executive produced by Conrad, Colletti, and Cavallari, as well as Liz Gateley, creator of the “Laguna Beach” series, who described it as “a dream” to rejoin the group.
“When I first pitched the show to my bosses at MTV, never in a million years did I think we would find such a perfect group of real friends,” she said in a press release. “The show not only changed my life and the cast’s lives, but the series meant so much to a generation of fans who’ve been waiting for this.”
Conrad describes what viewers should expect from the reunion special as “a wild, weird, and cool experience.”
Colletti teases certain nostalgic touches that “pay tribute” to the original early 2000s concert, saying that the feeling when the group reunited was “similar to what we did back in the day.”
“It was such an innocent moment and we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into,” he recounts, “but we always knew that Laguna was very unique.”
“The Reunion: Laguna Beach” is a Roku exclusive, so you can only view the special on your Roku streaming device or Roku TV. Launch your Roku player, and the reunion special will appear on the main page. You may also watch the show for free online at TheRokuChannel.com.
The original MTV series, officially named “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” ran for three seasons, from 2004 to 2006. While it was inspired by FOX’s scripted series “The O.C.,” the show produced its own popular spinoff, “The Hills,” which followed Conrad as she relocated to Los Angeles to seek a career in fashion.
