The black widow deleted scene reveals a major problem with the MCU

The scene of a black widow deleted was an essential part of the story and there is a reason why it is a significant issue for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Black Widow, Marvel reveals the history of Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) Red Room, in which the killer training program shows her brainwashing as a child. The film also explores Romanoff’s backstory, showing that she was once part of an undercover operation in the United States. While in the US, she played the daughter of Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian (David Harbor) and Melina Vostokov (Rachel Weiss). Yelena Belova (later played by Florence Pug) was in the role of her pseudo-sister. Although the four had no blood relationship, they all became a family.

Black Widow in Marvel includes a strange time interval. During the film, Romanoff reunites with her former fake family, and they all come together to bring down the Red Room, which is still training black widow killers. After the destruction of the Red Room, Romanoff’s fake family and the surviving black widow assassins fled safely, leaving Romanoff behind, awaiting the arrival of Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) and his troops. They are out to arrest her for violating the Sokovia agreement. However, the scene is cut. The next moment, Romanoff gets a plane from her friend Rick Mason (O-T Fagbenle), and fans wonder how she escaped.

The deleted scene of a black widow finally explains the time lag. The scene arises where the Black Widow leaves, Ross comes to catch Romanoff. She considered herself defeated in the scene and explained that she had destroyed the red room. A huge structure falling from the sky has all the evidence Ross needed. Eventually, Ross puts her in the back of the vehicle, and Romanoff says she worked alone for the Red Room’s demise. Ross admits that Romanoff saved the world but it is “impossible” to know which side he is on. At one point, Romanoff stops responding to Ross and turns to see her run away. Covers the scene of how Romanoff got away and exposes Marvel’s big problem.

Black Widow Movie General Ross
Marvel is more concerned with its wider connected beliefs than with individual stories. For example, everything is necessary about the scene of Romanoff’s black widow fleeing from Ross. Other than that, there is no explanation for how Romanoff gets away. However, the studio still cut the scene. And Marvel doesn’t care. From time to time, Marvel abandons personal stories to sit in big puzzles. Finally, why should the studio clarify the necessary plot points when it can later and create a new revenue stream in a spinoff show or movie? In addition to the Black Widow’s escape, another example is Captain America’s (Chris Evans) journey to Infinity Stones Avengers: Endgame Return. Fans will have to assume that he successfully returned the stone and Marvel will wait for them to fill in what happened at one point.

After all, omitting a black widow is just confusing. Director Kate Shortland explained earlier missing scenes that she is deliberately “leaving the question of how she will get away”. But, of course, the question is not how the Black Widow got away because Marvel has already filmed it. The studio just chose to cut it. MCU is the most successful movie and TV franchise in the history of entertainment, so it can do whatever it wants. However, despite the huge success, his personal stories are still important. So even if Marvel gets away with it, it makes no sense to leave Romanoff free.
