Samsung Galaxy Z Tri-Fold Phone is Expected to Launch in October

Samsung has been showing off a functional prototype of its new foldable design with three interior screen faces at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 event. The company has been teasing this design for a few months. This year’s end could see the release of the eagerly anticipated tri-fold phone. This triple foldable may also be the first to be marketed under the current Galaxy Z series name.

Codenamed Q7M, the future item is apparently moving closer to full manufacturing and may be released in restricted quantities, according to the report. The model number that it is supposed to have is SM-F968.
The Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip models are part of Samsung’s well-known foldable line, and the triple-screen foldable is probably going to use the Galaxy Z TriFold moniker. When fully unfurled, the tri-fold handset’s 9.96-inch display provides a near-tablet experience, making it one of its main features. It is anticipated that the gadget will display a 6.54-inch screen when folded, enabling it to function as a traditional smartphone. A silicon-carbon battery, a more recent technology that may provide quicker charging and a longer lifespan than conventional lithium-ion cells, is expected to be included in the device, which may be internally powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU.
Regarding image, the Galaxy Z TriFold is anticipated to offer 8K video recording at 30 frames per second and may have a triple rear camera configuration.
