March Security Update for the Exynos Variant of the Galaxy S23 FE is Available

Only one day after the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S23 FE received the March 2024 security update in the USA, Samsung has extended the update’s availability to include the Exynos-powered model as well.

Before you get too excited, no, One UI has not been updated with this update. The 2023 flagships of Samsung, which are the first in line for One UI 6.1, have been receiving a basic security upgrade over the last few days, as the company is committed to taking its time releasing the One UI 6.1 update to qualified devices.

With firmware version S711BXXS2BXBF, the update is available in Europe and is probably on the verge of spreading to other locations. Included with it is the March 2024 security patch, which addresses several dozen vulnerabilities affecting all Android devices as well as nine flaws in Samsung’s software.

By selecting the Download and install option from the Settings » Software update menu on the phone, you can download the most recent update wirelessly. With the firmware files found in the SamMobile archive and a Windows computer, it is also possible to update the device to the most recent version of software.

Since Samsung plans to deploy One UI 6.1 in March, certain owners of Galaxy S23 FE devices might receive the most recent security updates along with the One UI 6.1 update. For some owners of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, the same might be true.
