Google will announce new Nest products at the Pixel 7 event

Google primarily teased the Pixel 7, 7 Pro and Watch when announcing the October 6 event this morning, but it will also introduce the “latest smart home devices from Nest.”

This information about Google announcing “additions to the Nest smart home portfolio” at the event comes from the “Ideas and Information” section, which debuted in June to showcase product tips from the Google Store.

Google is rumored to be working on a more affordable Chromecast HD, while we reported on a new Nest Wifi with 6E support. Meanwhile, the company said last September that it would release a 2nd generation wired Nest doorbell with 24/7 recording. All of these products fall under the Nest “Connected Home” product line, even the streaming dongle with its separate branding.

The company also shared today that its next-generation phone chip will be branded as “Tensor G2” and will offer “more useful, personalized features for photos, video, security and speech recognition.”

Meanwhile, Google also says that “all devices will be available for purchase on GoogleStore.com the same day,” which means pre-ordering.

The US, UK and Australia will experience the live stream at GoogleStore.com/events, while people in other countries can watch live on YouTube. As with recent Google events, the feed will be offered with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation.
