Google Updates the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with Loud Noise Protection Features

Google also unveiled an update for its second-generation Pixel Buds Pro wireless headphones during the Made by Google event, along with the Pixel 10 series smartphones, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a. A few cutting-edge capabilities, such as head gesture control and adaptive audio, are being added to Google’s truly wireless stereo (TWS) headset.

Pixel Buds Pro 2: Features

Go Live with Gemini: Using the Pixel Buds Pro 2, users can launch a hands-free Gemini Live session straight from their smartphones.

Hearing Protection: By lessening the impact of abrupt, harsh noises, loud noise protection keeps your ears from being struck by them at full force.

Adaptive Audio: automatically modifies playing in response to external circumstances, cutting down on distractions and background noise.

Battery Widget: By integrating the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with the Pixel’s battery widget, users can view charge levels and get notifications when the case is fully or partially charged.

Advanced Audio Processing: Gemini Live filters out background noise, allowing discussions to be heard clearly even in noisy settings.

Pixel Buds Pro 2: What’s new

A new Moonstone finish is now available for the earbuds. Additionally, a software upgrade in September will make the new hands-free texting and calling feature available to all users.

Users of the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be able to answer calls hands-free by just shaking their head to decline or nodding to accept. It is said that users can also respond to texts using head gesture controls. To identify these head motions, the earbuds have built-in sensors and a sophisticated accelerometer.
