Concerning Family Star

Vijay and Mrunal have collaborated together for the first time on Parasuram Petla’s Family Star. Along with Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, and Ravi Babu in supporting roles, Divyansha Kaushik makes a cameo appearance in the movie.

Govardhan Rao, the youngest brother in Vijay, assumes responsibility for the family’s management. He manages the family’s money carefully, but everything changes in his life when Mrunal’s Indu starts renting out a part of his house.

Review of Family Star

“When it was announced that Vijay Deverakonda was teaming up with director Parasuram Petla for the second time, many hoped they would recreate the magic of Geetha Govindam (2018),” an excerpt from the Family Star movie review said. Family Star fails to leave an impression or even to amuse, but that movie had its share of problems. The Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda flick will try your patience as it only gets worse as it goes along.”

Additionally, it said, “Family Star’s plot is so thin that you can look right through it, just like Govardhan does when he makes CGI dosas for his nieces and nephews early in the movie. However, even in its own universe, Parasuram’s picture defies reason, making it hard to watch all the way through. To make matters worse, Family Star nearly seems to have been created by someone who has no experience with middle-class lifestyle, which gives the entire endeavor a cartoonish vibe.”
