Delta Air Lines is Assisting in the Making a New Plane Thats Look Like a Stealth Bomber

Delta declared that it is collaborating with JetZero, a California-based company, to develop a new kind of aircraft that resembles a stealth bomber. The airline will save money on fuel and pollution thanks to the new design. By 2027, JetZero wants a prototype aircraft in the air.
- Able to carry 250 passengers or more
- Noise-reducing engines positioned on the roof
- An airframe that is lighter than a conventional tube and wing form.
“Working with JetZero to realize an entirely new airframe and experience for customers and employees is bold and important work to advance the airline industry’s fuel saving initiatives and innovation goals,” Amelia DeLuca, Delta’s Chief Sustainability Officer, said
The collaboration comes after the US Air Force awarded the start-up a funding in 2023 to assist in the construction of a full-scale demonstrator for its first flight in 2027.
Delta will contribute operating experience to help commercialize the technology and design the aircraft’s interior cabin, which will feature fewer rows, wider overhead bins, and accessible seats and restrooms.
Tom O’Leary, cofounder and CEO of JetZero, stated that his company is aiming to “change the world” by launching a unique aircraft that will lower airline energy expenses and related emissions.
