Amazon Prime-Exclusive Stream of Mets Clash Makes Yankees Fans Angry

Tuesday’s game against the Mets at Yankees fans stadium is apparently not broadcast on Yes.

While Mets fans were able to watch their preferred broadcast of Game 2 of the Subway Series on SNY or TBS, local Bombers fans were forced to turn to Amazon Prime Video to get their dose of Michael Kay & Co.

It didn’t appear to be a popular choice among Yankees viewers.

Tuesday’s game was the latest of 21 contests scheduled to be streamed in-market on the Amazon platform, which comes as part of the $139-a-year Prime service.

Either way, it’s not exactly good out of market, with viewers needing the MLB.TV package to watch yes broadcasts for those games.

Prime-exclusive games have been around for years, with Amazon — along with Sinclair — having an ownership stake in YES.

This isn’t the first time fans have been upset by the exclusive streaming service — they tore through the Yankees-Guardians rebroadcast on April 22.
