Xiaomi has formally entered the electric vehicle (EV) industry by introducing the Xiaomi YU7, its first sport utility vehicle (SUV). The YU7 will retail for RMB 253,500 and come in three different versions: Standard, Pro, and Max.

Xiaomi YU7 Features and Specifications

Design, Interior, and Cabin Features

The YU7 has a broad stance, balanced proportions, and a sleek, low-slung design. Basalt Gray, Lava Orange, Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, Pearl White, Dusk Purple, Dawn Pink, and other hues are among its nine color choices. Wheel options come in a variety of shapes and tire sizes, ranging from 19 to 21 inches. With long-range tires, the Max variant’s CLTC range can reach 760 km; with performance-oriented Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires, it can reach 670 km.

The Xiaomi YU7’s interior features include Nappa leather upholstery, reclining rear seats that can be adjusted up to 135°, and optional zero-gravity front seats with a 10-point massage function. There are four color choices for the interior, including a brand-new dual-tone of iris purple and ash grey. According to Xiaomi, the materials used in the 17 m² cabin are OEKO-TEX Class 1 certified for skin safety.

An anthropometric model with a height of 188 cm is used to measure cabin space. The YU7 has 73 mm of rear legroom, 77 mm of rear headroom, and 100 mm of front headroom. A 1.8-meter bed can be made by folding the back seats flat. The car has 36 storage spaces, a 141-liter front trunk, and a 687-liter back trunk that can hold 1,758 liters when the seats are folded.

Smart Features

Dual 80W wireless charging pads, a 4.6L refrigerator, a 25-speaker Dolby Atmos system, and a 2.2m² cabin filter that is HEPA-certified are examples of smart features. The Max model has a smart-dimming panoramic roof, double-laminated glass, and additional insulation. Because sound insulation is used at all trim levels, cabin noise is greatly decreased.

The Xiaomi HyperEngine V6s Plus powers the YU7 Max, which can speed from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds. A maximum speed of 253 km/h is supported. The CLTC range of the Standard and AWD versions is 835 km and 770 km, respectively. Its 800V base allows for quick charging, reaching 10–80% in 12 minutes and adding up to 620 km of range in 15 minutes.

Interior Color Options

Xiaomi has four upholstery color options for the interior: Twilight Blue, Pine Grey, Coral Orange, and a recently introduced Ash Grey and Iris Purple dual-tone. The variation is made to blend in with the vast array of external colors, enabling a great deal of personalization.

A four-in-one domain controller and the 700 TOPS computational capabilities of the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor platform power the system. Apple Watch integration, multi-screen compatibility, and remote unlocking are all included in CarPlay for Apple users.

Advanced Safety Features

Advanced driver assistance hardware, such as LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, is included with all YU7 versions. Ten million driving clips are used to teach the system to enable safer, more fluid driving.

The YU7 has a hybrid steel-aluminum body construction with 47,610 N·m/deg torsional rigidity and incorporates 2200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel in strategic places for safety. The underbody covering is strengthened to safeguard the battery. The car has been certified by 6.49 million kilometers of road testing in China’s harsh circumstances, and it has passed more than fifty accident tests.

Pricing & Availability

The Xiaomi YU7 starts at RMB 253,500 for the Standard version, RMB 279,900 for the Pro, and RMB 329,900 for the Max. The Xiaomi YU7 is now available for purchase in China, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the coming months.
