Third corona wave to knock the door!

Spiritual guidance by Sri Jagatguru to overcome
pandemic fear & stress
Yoga, Meditation, Spiritualism are the best ways to apply break to buzzing minds
Sonepat, Haryana, India: How to be happy and sustain that happiness when the
atmosphere is not conducive? India has had its fair share of spiritual leaders who have
influenced related thoughts. Sri Sri Santoshi Baba a.k.a Sri Jagatguru from Sri Sri
Santoshi Baba Ashram situated at Kundli, Sonepat Taluka in Haryana has designed
programs to provide techniques to people to overcome fear and stress during the
pandemic crisis.
Close on the heels of the brutal second wave of Covid-19 almost falling from the peak,
some experts have warned that a third dangerous wave with new variants like Delta
Plus, could strike again in the coming few weeks time. The IIT Kanpur model who
had earlier correctly predicted the second wave has forecasted that the third wave can
hit India from July 15th onwards.
The alarming situation has even perturbed the eternal personality Sri Sri Santoshi
Baba a.k.a Sri Jagatguru who with his constant endeavor has been selflessly helping
the community for decades. Recently, his Sri Sri Santoshi Baba Foundation had
initiated the cremation of more than 200 dead bodies found floating in the river
Ganga by giving them a decent burial at the distinctive pilgrimage centre of
Garhmukteshwar (Brijghat) in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh.
“Since last year the ongoing pandemic has certainly been hard for everyone and endured
harrowing experience. With repeated lockdown, the kids too were losing out on a normal
childhood,” explains the Spiritual Guru.
Can India avert a third Covid wave? Voicing concerns, Sri Jagatguru firmly replies,
“We are not out of the woods yet… Some medical experts had predicted that Delta plus variant
could trigger a third wave post August or towards September-October. There are many countries
where even the second wave has not arrived. Appropriate measures and strictly adhering to the
safety protocols can limit its impact. It also depends on the level of immunity in our
population…”
The Spiritual Guru recalls, “Bad policy decisions, ignoring warnings of safety protocols, mass
violation of lockdown, crowding in markets, election rallies and religious places were some of the
reasons for the fatal second wave. The shortages related to medical oxygen, hospital beds and
necessary medicines and drugs have added to the woes of the people. Because of this letdown
many citizens have also lost their near and dear ones.” He further says that the central
government is procuring Covid-19 jabs to all states free of cost to inoculate all adults above 18-
years of age. Efforts are also on to enhance and upgrade the existing medical infra structure and
its laboratories.”
The pandemic and the lockdown blues have crippled the economy….. Fear factors
about the virus, innumerable people losing jobs, financial constraints, no outdoor
recreations, increased anxiety and insecurity has given rise to depression and other
mental health related issues.
How to take care of your mental health during this pandemic? Addressing the
issues, the illustrious Sri Jagatguru said, “We have to cultivate our minds and define the
choices by gearing up to adapt to the new norms of life. Yoga, meditation, spiritualism are
the best ways to apply break to buzzing minds and overcome fear and stress.”
The Spiritual Guru further adds, “Our ashram is like an institute for seekers of
Spiritualism, Yoga and Ayurveda. A place, where you can find total health for the body,
mind and soul… a place where one can empower oneself and connect to their inner spiritual life.
Happiness is conditional and may be dependent on external circumstances. Meditation is a state
of mind which looks at everything with complete attention and unfolding the inner spiritual
world. Spiritual awareness begins with understanding one’s own true identity. Yoga is a
discipline uniting with your source and which happens when the mind becomes silent.”
Sri Sri Santoshi Baba a.k.a Sri Jagatguru further highlights, “One has to discover his
hidden powers to improve health and create positive influence. Stress, anxiety, depression, tension
and psychological problems accumulate in the mind with irritations, frustrations,
disappointments, injuries, insults and anxieties. Getting into groove with spiritual devotion,
meditation and divinity is the need of the hour.”
