PM Modi will inaugurate “Atal Bridge,” a foot overbridge across the Sabarmati River.

The Atal Bridge, which is distinctive in both its technical and aesthetic design, will improve both the city’s and the Riverfront’s standing.

An additional landmark in Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront, the pedestrian-only Atal Bridge, which bears the name of the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is scheduled for opening by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The riverfront’s future arts and culture centre will be connected to the flower garden on the western end by a foot overbridge.

According to a release, “This bridge would give connectivity to multi-level parking lots and various public developments on East and West Bank from plaza between Flower Park and Event Ground at West Bank to projected Art / Cultural / Exhibition Centre on East Bank.”
