Next year, Huawei plans to introduce a third cloud availability zone in Brazil

In addition to planning a third availability zone in Mexico, Huawei is currently developing a third availability zone for its Brazilian cloud region, which is scheduled to go live in 2019.

The statement was made this week at Huawei’s Cloud Summit Brasil 2023 event by Mark Chen, director of Huawei Cloud solution sales.

In addition, Chen revealed plans to create a third availability zone in Mexico and reiterated plans to create a second availability zone there.

Plans for a third zone in Chile were also reiterated by Chen. There were no dates given.

The company began operations in São Paulo in 2019 and subsequently opened an additional availability zone in Brazil. Last year, the business also revealed its intentions to build a second facility in Mexico, though it gave no specifics.

A second facility in the capital was announced by Huawei in 2019 after the company’s first one in Santiago was announced the previous year.

Huawei Cloud currently lists international regions in Dublin, Ireland; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Paris, France; Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; Jakarta; Indonesia; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Istanbul, Turkey; Johannesburg, South Africa; Mexico City, Mexico; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Lima, Peru; and Santiago, Chile, in addition to a number of regions throughout China and Hong Kong.
