Maruti Suzuki Swift Specifications and Mileage

Next week, Maruti Suzuki will arrive in India with the 2024 Swift hatchback. The automaker has teased the next Swift by unveiling a few of its design cues ahead of its May 9 launch. Maruti Suzuki has begun accepting reservations for the 2024 Swift, with prices starting at ₹11,000. One of the best-selling hatchbacks in India will be in its fourth generation.

Many specifications of the 2024 Swift have already been made public online ahead of introduction. The information about the engine and fuel efficiency metrics have been disclosed in a brochure. Prior to its release next week, a few of the major characteristics of the next Swift have also been made public.

In 2024, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the new 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine in the Swift. It will be a mildly hybrid vehicle that may be paired with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The engine can produce a maximum power output of 80 horsepower and a peak torque of 112 Nm. One of the best mileage estimates in the class at 25.72 km/l is what the engine promises to deliver. The new Swift has less power output than the previous model, but it will still get better mileage.

To improve its safety rating, the new Swift will have six airbags as standard equipment. The Swift achieved a four-star safety rating in the recently concluded crash tests by Japan NCAP. In addition to six airbags, the Swift’s better models should come with a 360-degree camera and a head-up display.

The Suzuki hatchback’s unveiling in Japan last year gave the design of the forthcoming Swift its first look. The Swift is scheduled to go on sale in five varieties, although at launch, there won’t be a CNG version available. Among the design improvements are alloy wheels, a revised grille, and reshaped bumpers. The rear door handles are now located in a more traditional location instead of the C-pillars.

The Swift’s interior will change in a few ways. The Arkamys sound system, a larger MID unit for the instrument console, wireless charging, rear AC vents, and a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system are a few possible examples. It is anticipated that the new model will include fresh materials and seat upholstery.
