Filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti (IT, IT Chapter Two, The Flash) and Jason Fuchs (IT Chapter Two, Wonder Woman, Argylle) created the television series, which builds on the world that Andy Muschietti created in the two movies. Muschietti directed several of the show’s episodes.

What is the purpose of IT: Welcome to Derry?
The teaser for the show, which is set in the namesake Maine town in 1962, teases Leroy (Adepo) and Charlotte Hanlon’s (Paige) departure to the “normal” town of Derry following Leroy’s military service. Then, with kid disappearances, eerie monsters, and more lurking in the past and haunting the present, the footage suggests that the tiny village is anything but.
