Google released a brand-new artificial intelligence (AI) app on Thursday that lets users digitally try on several ensembles. In the US, the app is accessible on iOS and Android.
Doppl is a Google Labs experimental app that was once intended to be a feature of AI Mode in Search. But it seems like the digital behemoth with headquarters in Mountain View is now thinking about developing a stand-alone experience for it. Users only need to upload a full-length photo of themselves to this app, and the underlying AI model will calculate their body form and precisely overlay various articles of apparel.
Doppl will create a picture of a virtual representation of you wearing the clothing when you choose one to envision. In order to give you a better idea of how the outfit might appear on you in person, Doppl can also turn these still photos into AI-generated films.
You can peruse all of your past virtual try-ons and save your favorite looks. Additionally, you can share how you look with other people.
Doppl now allows customers to upload a full-length photo of themselves wearing the garment to see how it would seem on them, personalizing the experience. A bespoke fashion-based picture creation model that comprehends the human form and how clothing folds, stretches, and drapes on various bodies powers the functionality, according to Google during I/O.
The app’s usability is one of its great features. Users can upload a photograph of their friend’s dress, something they discovered at a local store, or even an image from social media, so they are not just restricted to the possibilities accessible on internet purchasing platforms.
Given that the Doppl is an experimental launch, it’s unknown when or if Google plans to bring the app to additional regions.
