Etihad Airways has announced that it will begin nonstop flights to Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 4, 2026, adding a new route to its expanding US network.
As a result of this accomplishment, Etihad is now the first airline in the area to operate direct flights to Charlotte, enhancing connectivity between the US and the UAE.
Four times a week, Etihad’s flagship Boeing 787 Dreamliner will fly the new route, the first nonstop flight from the Gulf area to the city, linking the largest city in North Carolina with the airline’s growing worldwide network.
Travelers will benefit from subsequent links throughout Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, and the Middle East. Travelers now have easier access to Etihad’s growing worldwide network and the UAE capital’s famous hospitality thanks to the new service, which connects Abu Dhabi with one of America’s most vibrant financial and cultural centers.
With this expansion, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) becomes EY’s sixth U.S. destination, following additions to New York, Chicago, Washington, Boston, and the soon-to-be-launched Atlanta route on July 2.
