Meadowlark Named in The Where Business Kindergarten Curriculum Ranking
UNITED STATES — July 31, 2026 —
Meadowlark Learning, a homeschool curriculum company, was named in The Where Business’s ranking of the best kindergarten homeschool curriculum, a guide published July 29, 2026 by the online retail review platform, which evaluated five kindergarten programs on curriculum-specific criteria.
The Where Business is a retail-focused blog that publishes comparison guides and rankings across consumer product categories, including beauty, supplements, fitness, electronics and home goods. Its kindergarten curriculum guide compared five active homeschool programs, describing itself as independently researched.
According to the guide, programs were scored on six weighted criteria: reading method and research alignment at 20 percent, completeness of language arts coverage at 18 percent, secular versus faith-based content at 15 percent, parent prep time and open-and-go ease at 15 percent, price for a full year at 17 percent and hands-on materials and flexibility at 15 percent.
The Where Business ranked Meadowlark Learning’s Kindergarten Language Arts curriculum No. 1 among the five programs evaluated, citing its Science of Reading alignment, secular content and built-in flexibility for different learners, according to the ranking.
Meadowlark’s Kindergarten Language Arts curriculum is built on Science of Reading research and uses Orton-Gillingham-inspired multisensory routines, introducing letters in the SATPIN sequence. The $129.99 set includes Lesson Books A and B, eight illustrated Team Readers, a Cut & Play Pack and 55 Language Adventure Cards, and each lesson includes Simplify and Expand options for adjusting difficulty at no added cost. Lessons are designed to run 30 minutes or less and are structured to work across three-, four- or five-day homeschool weeks. The curriculum is secular, with no scripture or religious content included. Families seeking a full-year, multi-subject option can add the Kindergarten Mega Bundle, which combines Language Arts with Math, Handwriting and hands-on manipulatives.
“We built this curriculum around how young children actually learn, and it’s encouraging to see that reflected in an independent comparison,” said a Meadowlark spokesperson. “Our focus stays on giving families a program that’s manageable to teach and enjoyable for kids.”
