HBO Confirms ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 Launch With New Trailer

“You now have power no man has ever wielded.”

So says Daemon Targaryen, niece Rhaenyra, as the preview for HBO’s House of the Dragon Season 3 premieres.

Season 3 continues where Season 2 left off, with an all-out war in the Dance of the Dragons and Battle of the Gullet. See the entire trailer above to see Targaryens, Hightowers, and others combat while relationships continue to deteriorate in the HBO epic.

The eight-episode series will premiere on HBO on June 21 and will continue to be one of the network’s tentpoles as HBO Max is rolled out globally. Since Season 2, another spin-off from the George R.R. Martin universe, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, has received strong ratings and reviews.

Ryan Condal is the co-creator, showrunner, and EP, while EP Martin created the original Game of Thrones source material. Other EPs include Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett. Season 3 is based on Martin’s Fire & Blood.
