NBC Reschedules ‘The Voice’ Season 28 Episodes — Here’s When It’s Back On
Season 28 included lots of scheduling changes for The Voice, and now there’s another one in the middle of the Knockout Rounds. The season aired for two hours on Mondays and one hour on Tuesdays when it debuted in September.
Additionally, several of the Tuesday shows were expanded to two hours as the weeks passed. Nevertheless, The Voice shifted to a once-weekly, two-hour Monday time slot after NBC started showing NBA basketball games on Tuesday evenings at the end of October.
The network is now changing the schedule again because it has additional shows to air on Monday nights. On Monday nights starting at 9/8c, The Voice will only broadcast for one hour starting on Monday, November 3.
Both the November 3 and November 10 episodes are confirmed to air in the 9/8c time slot, though it is unclear how long the one-hour time slot will remain. During these episodes, the Knockout Rounds will continue. Each coach will have just four artists remaining on their teams for the playoffs at the conclusion of the Knockouts.
Until its finale, which is likely to take place on Tuesday, December 16, The Voice is not anticipated to return to Tuesday evenings due to the NBA basketball schedule. The results are announced on Tuesday night, and the finalists perform on Monday night in the show’s two-part finale.
The second half of the October 27 broadcast featured the first three Knockout Round performances. The artists compete head-to-head in this round after being partnered by their coaches. Each competitor chooses the song they want to sing, and their coaches choose one to go to the next round. The coaches’ decisions are final because there are no steals or saves in the knockout stages.
