San Luis Obispo Based Filmmakers, Eriksen and Soren Dickens, Travel the Country to Help Clients Earn More

Brothers Eriksen and Soren Dickens, filmmakers and co-owners of Platinum Peek Productions, have produced quality video content that has allowed their agency to expand into a nationwide business. Read on to find how two small town boys have carved a niche for themselves in one of the most competitive industries in the world.

Eriksen and Soren Dickens, born and bred in the small town of Oakdale, California have arrived on the filmmaking scene with a bang. The brothers started off doing a variety of video work and digital marketing for individuals and businesses, and within four years have established a strong presence in the digital marketing realm. Today their company ‘Platinum Peek Productions’ has a wide base of clients spread across the country. Additionally, the brothers have produced numerous creative projects of their own, one of which is an award-winning documentary entitled Two Magic Drops. The film is about Rotary’s involvement in providing polio vaccinations to children in India and has been selected to eight international film festivals thus far.

The journey to sustainability hasn’t been an easy one, according to Eriksen, 25. “Soren and I started out of his college dorm in 2016 while at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. As we both were at the same college, we wanted to take up something worthwhile in our free time so we got back into filmmaking. It took a lot of time and effort to teach ourselves everything and build a portfolio.” They started with a drone and a camera and with time, had serious thoughts about turning this newfound passion into a full time profession. After six months, Platinum Peek Productions, LLC was born. Since then, throughout the blood, sweat, and tears, the brothers have attained a consistent influx of clientele from around the nation.

Today their production company has partnered with a marketing agency and now currently manages up to 40 projects at any given point. The brothers have also scaled their team from just the two of them, to six full time talented individuals. They have clients ranging from Idaho to Washington, Oregon, Ohio, Florida, Hawaii, and obviously California. Their creativity and relentless determination has given them the ability to do what they love: create meaningful stories for people through the medium of film.
